Academy Sports + Outdoors Expanding to Second Waco Area Location

Cromwell Commercial Group is pleased to announce the sale of the 68,312± square foot retail facility located at 1205 N Loop 340 in Lacy Lakeview to Academy Sports + Outdoors, which plans to open its second Waco-area location at the highly visible intersection of N Loop 340 and Interstate 35.

Brandon Davis and Brad Davis, CCIM, partners at Cromwell Commercial Group, represented the seller in the transaction, successfully positioning the property to attract a national retailer and helping bring Academy Sports +Outdoors to this redeveloping corridor in the greater Waco market.

The property, originally constructed and operated as a Kmart, was later repurposed as a call center. The sale and planned redevelopment represent a significant milestone for the continued revitalization of the area and reinforce the intersection’s growing importance as a growing retail destination.
